Hi, I’m Alisha!
If I had to find one phrase to describe myself as an individual it would be “eternally fascinated”.
Moments fascinate me. People fascinate me. Moments between people fascinate me.
I am permanaently enamored by not only the people and the world around me, but also how they interconnect. How invidivuals and relationships evolve. How each person interacts with others, and how much that is driven by outside factors. How those emotions and split seconds translate into moving, emotional imagery.
Photography for me has always been a way of easing into connection, as well as a way to communicate from my perspective without having to find the words. That’s what I aim to offer to every single one of my clients — either as a family photographer or small business photographer. A peek into your life or your business from my perspective.
My clients often describe me as being a warm, positive, fun, and comforting presence when I am around for a shoot. I work to make an authentic connection with each of my clients so that they are able to feel comfortable and unjudged. I am observant, intuitive, and love experiencing life through my lens.
You can typically find me:
Dancing (even though I can’t really dance)
Listening to a wide array of music (Amanda Palmer, Troye Sivan, Dmitri Shostakovich, Gotye, Ella Fitzgerald ….you name it!)
Reading (Rachel Hollis, Paulo Coelho, JK Rowling …all literary heroes of mine)
Watching classic movies or listening to musicals (Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton, anyone?)
Playing video games (RPGs are my jam)
Hanging out with my husband, our kiddo, and our greyhound Dewey
Baking or cooking for my family and friends
Drinking straight espresso or lattes (I’m just picky about my coffee beans, really)
Hanging out on my favorite Documentary Family Photography facebook forums (shoutout to DFP!)
Watching youtube content from my favs like Binging with Babish and Markiplier
Want to get to know me even better? Drop me a line! I’d love to chat.
